DIVERSIFIED SCOOPS THE POOL AT EEAA AWARDS NIGHT

Sydney, December 4 2009: Diversified Exhibitions Australia has once again confirmed its position as the industry power player, winning five coveted awards at the Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) Awards for Excellence last night in Sydney.

The Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition (AOG) won Best Australian Show and Best Trade Show Over 10,000m2, both titles Diversified also claimed in 2008. Exhibition Director Bill Hare accepted both awards on behalf of the AOG industry-leading team.

Australia's top culinary event, Good Food & Wine Melbourne, was named Best Consumer Show Over 10,000m2 for the second year running; and the Franchising Expo won Most Innovative Promotional Campaign.

On the back of the Australian Fitness & Health Expo’s 2008 success when it was named Best Trade Show Over 10,000m2, Ashley Robertson, the exhibition’s manager, received this year’s Richard Geddes Young Achiever Award.

"We're expanding our event portfolio and always looking at ways we can ensure our exhibitions are first-class for investors, visitors and the industry. To be recognised in the EEAA Awards for Excellence is testament to the passion, commitment and performance of the Diversified team and I congratulate all our staff for their contributions to our company's success," said Matthew Pearce, Managing Director, Diversified Exhibitions Australia.

Last night's victories capped off a landmark 12 months for Diversified, which announced its acquisition of the Australian assets involved with dmgworldmedia (excluding Imedia, Evanta and Adtech), last week.
