DIVERSIFIED EXHIBITIONS ACQUIRES LEADING FOOD TECHNOLOGY SHOW
Melbourne, November 26 2009: Diversified Exhibitions Australia today announced it has acquired all the Australian assets of dmgworldmedia’s trade exhibitions, which includes food technology event, FoodPro.
Diversified Exhibitions is Australia’s leading organiser of food and hospitality related trade shows including Fine Food; Hotel Australia; Restaurant and Hospitality; and consumer shows, Good Food & Wine Show, Fine Wine & Spirits and Irresistible Gluten Free Food Show.
This year, Diversified announced its plans to launch a food technology show, FoodTech, in order to better service this sector of the market. The company now plans to merge FoodTech into FoodPro, rather than split the market with two exhibitions.
“Our intention with FoodTech was to offer a more comprehensive food technology event in order to solidify our leading position in the food sector. These plans will now be rolled into an enhanced FoodPro offering which will be better resourced and include changes and innovations that reflect market feedback,” said Pearce.
FoodPro takes place once every three years. The next event is planned for 11-13 July 2011 at Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre.
