RESTAURANT 09 MOVES TO NEW DATES
11 February 2009
The restaurant 09 Melbourne trade show is moving to new dates in June to better suit the market and attract more international chefs. It will now run from 17-18 June 2009 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The restaurant shows are now part of the growing food and hospitality portfolio of Diversified Exhibitions Australia, which includes Fine Food, Good Food & Wine and the Gluten Free shows.
Exhibition manager Michael-William Kelly said the new dates will allow us to work with the overseas chefs and winemakers appearing at The Good Food & Wine Show. “We can now take advantage of the synergies across our shows to add value, as well as provide the industry an event at the right time. June is a quieter month for restaurants and a good time for them to meet with all the key suppliers”.
As we go to press, plans are being finalised to bring one of Gordon Ramsay’s most trusted lieutenants to Australia to appear alongside some of Australia’s leading chefs, sommeliers and restaurateurs in the show’s talks and demonstrations. As a member of Gordon’s original brigade from Aubergine you can look forward to a fascinating insight into the worldwide empire that is Gordon Ramsay Holdings.
The restaurant 09 Sydney show, scheduled for 10-11 August, will remain in its current dates. Both shows will feature a wide range of food, drink and equipment suppliers as well as business related seminars and chef demonstrations. Entry is strictly trade only.
