DIVERSIFIED EXHIBITIONS: A GREAT PLACE TO WORK!
1 May 2009
Diversified Exhibitions, a leading organiser of trade and consumer exhibitions, has today been named one of Australia’s top 50 best companies to work for in research conducted by the Great Place to Work™ Institute, and published in the latest edition of BRW.
Diversified, with just 69 employees, ranked 30th in the national index and in the top 10 for companies with headquarters in Melbourne.
The Great Place to Work™ Institute was formed in 1980 and runs similar surveys in 35 countries. Companies are selected as a Best Company primarily on the basis of their employees' responses to the Great Place to Work™ Trust Index™. Further information used for selection process is provided by completion of the Great Place to Work™ Culture Audit© conducted with company management.
“Believing you operate a great culture for your staff is one thing. Having your own staff independently reinforce that belief is tremendously inspiring,” said Matthew Pearce, Managing Director, Diversified Exhibitions.
“Providing a workplace where people are motivated to perform at their best and that represents a great cultural fit for both parties is one of management’s biggest challenges. Mutual trust plays a huge role as well as clearly defining expectations and giving regular performance feedback,” he said.
Diversified also ranked eleventh as a top company to work for amongst multi-nationals.
Diversified Exhibitions is one of Australia’s largest and fastest-growing exhibition organising companies with a portfolio of 30 trade and consumer exhibitions and events, operating in key industry sectors such as food, security, building, oil & gas, fitness and retail. Diversified runs exhibitions and events throughout the country at premier venues. The company has offices in Melbourne and Sydney.
